When you think of an elegant and stunning New York wedding, you will picture Ali and Nadia’s The Rainbow Room wedding at Rockefeller Center.
Ali and Nadia chose the Rainbow Room for their wedding because of its incredible views of the New York cityscape. They wanted to have their wedding overlooking all of the important places in NYC that played a part in their love story over the years.
The Perfect Setting for an iconic NYC wedding
When you think of an elegant and stunning New York wedding, you will picture Ali and Nadia’s Rockefeller Center Wedding in the Rainbow Room.
The weekend kicked off at Sadelle’s for the rehearsal dinner with their bridal party and family. It was an intimate affair that celebrated the couple and excited everyone for the wedding day.
Both our bride and groom got ready at The Lotte New York Palace Hotel. It was full of laughter, love, and nerves as the time for the first look neared.
Manhattan is very special to Nadia and Ali, so we did their first look on the streets of their favorite city, in front of the New York Public Library, and it was perfect. His face says it all!
What’s your wedding day without a quick stop at Starbucks? I loved this candid moment when Ali picked up his coffee while Nadia sat patiently in their car. I would say this is a regular occurrence, haha.
We captured iconic couple portraits at the “Top of the Rock Deck.” This was rented separately just for these photos, and they are entirely worth it. Our couple met their respective parties on the rooftop, and we created images that captured their groups with the NYC skyline in the background. A moment none of them will ever forget!
A Ceremony to Remember: Saying “I Do” at the Rainbow Room
Then it was time for the ceremony. The Rainbow Room wedding and events team, led by Laura Boulton, were a dream to work with! The organization and experience made the day run seamlessly.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as vows were exchanged. The bride’s mom passed unexpectedly, so they changed their floral arrangements, including the bridal bouquet, to include white orchids. White orchids were her mom’s favorite and a beautiful way to include her throughout the wedding weekend.
It’s moments like this that make me fall in love with weddings time and time again. Ali was beginning to tear up as the moment to exchange vows approached. His uncle noticed and came over to share an embrace. And Ali’s face at Nadia coming down the aisle? *cue the tears*
Our couple enjoyed an intimate moment on the dance floor to soak it all in before the party began. These quiet moments are some of my favorites during a wedding day.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful preview of this Rockefeller Center Wedding in the Rainbow Room.
Here’s a behind the scenes of me at work while Nadia and Ali opted for an intimate moment on the dance floor instead of a first dance. I made sure to hide around the corner and not disturb them while still capturing the tenderness of their first moment alone as bride and groom.
There were celebrations as Ali, and his uncle shared a toast, and his best friend exclaimed his joy.
The music faded away as Ali pulled Nadia to him and her fingers brushed his. She smiled at him, her other arm wrapping around his waist, and they got lost in the moment where they were husband and wife and had an entire future ahead of them.
They finished their wedding night with an after-party with their friends and danced the night away overlooking the majestic NYC skyline.
